I love these guys. We were both in start-up mode and scrapping it out to get somewhere. So proud of their perseverence, assistance and friendship. I look forward to working with them well into the future.
I met Thomas at the very beginning of this part of my journey. We've shook hands and broke bread and this is a warrior spirit, right here folks. He sent me a message about struggling to find an organization to help a person in another part of the country. Upset that people weren't doing the right thing...because he is.
From their website:
Our organization assists the homeless, victims of trauma/abuse and addiction, the incarcerated, and the wrongly accused along with their families and raise awareness of the injustices put on them.
For 30 years, FAMM has been advocating for those who had very little voice, if any at all. They are the reliable, steadfast rock that everyone, at least in the feds, knew of. They were the ones out there fighting for us and have continued to do so for 30 years. Thank you for all that you do.
Executive Director, Sue Kastensen and others have put an amazing website together with the most comprehensive database of resources I've seen. We're proud to be their partner in the reentry realm. Check them out and support them.
